House and Building Moves - The Beach House Goes for A Stroll
Established in the 1920s, the town of Long Beach, Indiana borders beautiful Lake Michigan.
Originally a getaway destination, the town now has both seasonal and year-round residents. Although the 1920s are
long gone, Long Beach has retained much of the charm of that era. Dream houses abound, just like the one pictured
here. One of the unchanged factors of this area are very narrow roads, making house moving rather difficult. This
beauty, however, was located on the lakefront and was moving to another lakefront lot. On this beach, vehicles are
seldom seen. Vehicles, machines, and a house moving along the beach certainly aren't seen, but then again, houses
aren't normally seen going down roads, either. The gallery below contains some snapshots from the journey.

Just another day at the beach.
We probably shouldn't let this drop.
Hey, guys, don't let the unit float away!
We're ready to go.
Let's just park it here.
Did a big wave get the house?
Almost home!
Looks kinda funny, doesn't it?
